Enrollment numbers at Pella Christian Schools are continuing to grow, with 875 kindergarten through 12th grade students registered for the 2024-2025 school year.
Among the 875 students enrolled, 120 students are new to the school. This year’s enrollment saw an increase of over 40 students from last school year and over 100 students from 2022-2023. Pella Christian High School Principal Kevin Herdegen says that the high school will have close to 300 students this year, which will be the largest student body during his time at the school. Herdegen says he is excited to have everyone back on campus and to work through the necessary changes to serve more students.
“I’m always excited to see how God is using Pella Christian to impact our students. Enrollment growth creates different challenges and opportunities. Obviously, we had to hire more teachers to cover classes, but now we have more students to get through the lunch line, and we have more students in our hallways. And all of those things are just some dynamics that we’ll have to work through as we get into the first few weeks of school, but I’m super excited to welcome in our new students, and to see what gifts they can bring to Pella Christian High School.”
