The Knoxville Community School District is continuing to search for bus drivers.

Last year, the district had to make the difficult decision that they would not be transporting middle school and high school students by bus due to the significant driver shortage. This year, the district has cut back on their number of routes due to the shortage. Business Manager Craig Mobley is working to try and continue to fill the vacancies.

“Right now we are at the same number of bus drivers that we were at last year. I believe we do have a couple of potential candidates, however it is a timely and extended process to get fully licensed to drive a bus so we are going through that process right now.”
