When the Newton Volleyball team opens the season at home next week, Coach Heidi Woollums says there will be a trio of seniors with plenty of on court experience. 

“The three returning Seniors that have the most varsity experience are Macy Lampe, Delaney Woollums and Chloe Swank. They have been on the varsity squad since they were freshman and playing. The next group of Seniors that are in there are Addie Hook, Lola Rivera and Lainey Vander Schel. While they have not been on the court during the high school season alot together they have played tons of off season time together since they were in 6th grade. So the comfort level is already there even though they haven’t been playing on the varsity court together.”

Newton’s season opening matches are at home on August 27th against PCM, Saydel, and Des Moines Hoover. They have one more scrimmage this coming Saturday at Johnston.
