MercyOne Newton Medical Center, Jasper County Health Department, and numerous other community partners have collaborated on the 2025 to 2030 Jasper County Community Health Assessment. A town hall meeting to share the results of the Assessment will be held in the large conference room at the Newton DMACC Campus from 10:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, September 11th. Those who attend can participate in addressing the most pressing health issues across Jasper County identified in the Assessment. The document provides a prioritized description of future community unmet needs identified by community discussion, as well as current areas of strength. Jasper County Health Department Director Becky Pryor says there are alot of health related services available in the county now, and they are all listed in one place.

The Jasper County Health Department website is www.jasperia.org/health. At least every 5 years, the County Health Department and MercyOne Newton Medical Center join other partners in conducting a community-wide discussion about health needs in Jasper County. The last assessment was done in 2022.
