The 2024 General Election filing period in Marion County will close on August 28th.

This filing period is for nonpartisan offices. No signatures will be required and candidates will only need an affidavit of candidacy for township clerk and township trustee, and for county agricultural extension and soil and water conservation, 25 signatures from those respective districts. The Marion County Auditor is the filing officer for this election. The first day the auditor will accept absentee ballot requests is August 27th and those who need any additional information for the upcoming election can follow this link.
