Pella Christian Schools is welcoming a new group of 17 educators ahead of the 2024-25 academic year.

Scott Merrin joins Pella Christian as the eighth through twelfth grade band director from Winchester, California, and says he is excited to help further grow the music program.  

“I’m looking forward to building the community in the band program through both campuses, fifth through twelfth grade, and working with all of the music teachers and other teachers here on campus to just generate a love for music and how we can worship God through the gifts and talents that He’s given us.”

Jordan Jaspering, a 2010 Central College graduate, will be the middle school PE teacher and assistant athletic director. Jaspering says he looks forward to making connections and helping impact the lives of students and their families.

“I’m super excited to engage with the students, teachers, parents, and coaches, and just build relationships with them, bring encouragement, and just help them to create an impact where they go off to after they are done here, and just have an impact for God.”
