Further discussion is scheduled in September for several upcoming projects in Pella, including renovation of the Pella Memorial Building.
The landmark primarily used by local veterans groups and acquired by the city in 2017 is due for repairs, according to City Administrator Mike Nardini.
Upgrades were included in the fiscal year 2025 budget approved by the Pella City Council this spring. At Tuesday’s meeting, the council was also informed about $66,000 needed for emergency repairs to the roof. Approximately $300,000 was set aside for needed updates to the facility in the budget plan.
