The reigning runners-up Simpson College women’s soccer team was picked to finish in 2nd place in the American Rivers Conference Preseason Coaches Poll as announced Wednesday, while Central was predicted to finish in 6th.
The Storm return ten starters from their NCAA Tournament qualifying team from last season including 22-goal scorer Cassie Nash in addition to 2023 A-R-C Defensive Most Valuable Player Julia Wagoner. The Storm begin their season August 30th hosting Illinois Wesleyan.
Central finished the season tied for third in the standings last season, and returns eight starters to the pitch for the 2024 campaign including two all-conference performers from a season ago: Grace Coates and Zoey Sizemore. Central starts their season August 30th hosting Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Loras was tabbed to repeat as ARC Champions after defeating Simpson in penalty kicks in the championship contest last season.
