The Knoxville Community Foundation has donated $5,000 to Helping Hands Food Pantry.

This money will be used toward a new double back door that will provide more room for pallets to come into the building during food delivery. This will make it easier for volunteers to unload donations when they come into the building. Right now, there is just a single door and donations have to come in one box at a time. Helping Hands is currently in a phase of rebuilding and moving forward after their longtime Director Chuck Galeazzi was sick for the past several months and passed away on Tuesday.

The Knoxville Community Foundation is a non-profit organization established to enhance the community by raising funds to be invested for the future of Knoxville. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for an upcoming Let’s Talk Knoxville segment tribute to Galeazzi.
