While many of our area football squads are having intrasquad scrimmages and scrimmages against another school, the Melcher-Dallas Football Squad will open its season in a week zero contest against Murray. The Saints went winless last season and lost to Murray last season 55-0. The Mustangs were relatively young last season, and bring back nearly everyone. Saints Coach Jason Mason tells KNIA Sports Murray will be a tough challenge.

Mason: “Murray is always a good well coached football team. I remind the kids that they have to go 1-0, just go 1-0 for this week and we’ll be alright.”

Kick off is set for 7:00 at Murray High School.
