The district that Twin Cedars Football Squad plays in will be difficult to maneuver. The Sabers won just one district game last season…against arch-rival Melcher-Dallas, and this year look to up that number. Of course eight-man district seven had Belle Plaine, BGM, Montezuma and Moravia will have its challenges, Coach Mark Ford would like to improve his team’s record this season.

Ford: “Last year it was a very tough district and it’s not going to change this year. We’re going to fight tooth and nail, we got one win last year. If I could go .500 this year that would be a victory for the kids.”

The Sabers will begin tonight with a week zero game at Colo-NESCO, the district opener will be at BGM on September 6th.
