Emily Roe is looking to help lead the Pleasantville volleyball team after an impressive junior season.

The talented libero finished last season with 356 digs which was the most in a single season in school history. Roe also finished the season with a 92% serve efficiency percentage which led the team. The Trojans finished last season with the most wins in school history and will look to be even better this season with new head coach Ammie McGraw at the helm. McGraw says that Roe is a great leader on the team.

“Emily is not only just physically good at her position on defense but she is one of the best vocal leaders that I have ever been a part of or a part of coaching. She is constantly talking, which is something we try to get across to our girls. It’s showing us coaches that you’re engaged every single minute of every single play and Emily is a great leader in that way on the floor and off the floor.”

The Trojans open their 2024 volleyball season at Des Moines Christian on Tuesday.
