The Knoxville Cancer Relay is selling honor mile signs for the 2024 relay.

These signs are placed in town that display the name of someone that has been affected by cancer and a fundraiser for the relay team with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. The relay team is also looking for businesses to sponsor this year’s relay runners, and for the community to make donations to runners on the team. Pat Finan with the KCR team is a cancer survivor himself and he encourages everyone to get involved with the mission and fundraising efforts of the relay.

“We really want people from the community, whether they can do five miles, or just walk a mile on our loop in town. We’d love to have you join us in town on the 12th and 13th of September. It goes basically from 7:00 – 7:00 and we will also have the statewide run for those who are a little bit more adventurous.”

If you would like to purchase an honor mile sign you can follow this link. Hear more from the runners on Thursday’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.
