The PCM football team will open their 2024 season on the road at Sigourney-Keota on Friday.
The Mustangs defeated the Cobras at home last season 22-15. Sigourney-Keota fell to Dike-New Hartford in the second round of the playoffs last season while PCM fell to Van Meter in the state quarterfinals. PCM will have to adjust to the unique single wing offense that the Cobras present and are known for. The Mustangs are bringing back a good number of defensive starters from last year’s team and will return all-state running back Adrien Robbins on offense along with Gavin Van Gorp who has been the quarterback the past two seasons. Finn Wilson will also return on the defensive side of the football as the team’s leading tackler last season.
Friday’s contest will kick off at 7:30 pm.
