The class 4A #13 Knoxville Volleyball Squad went 2-1 at the Ottumwa Invitational to start the season on Monday. The Panthers began with a three set thriller over Oskaloosa 25/23, 28/30 and 15/10. Knoxville’s biggest win of the night was against #4 Carlisle in straight sets 25/19 and 25/23. The Panthers lone loss against Ottumwa was in three sets as they won set one 25/18 but lost the next two sets 25/21 and 15/10. Coach Mollie Keitges said it was a full team effort, which is what it is going to take to win matches this season. Knoxville begins 2-1 and will open South Central Conference play at Albia next Tuesday.
