Leighton State Bank held a groundbreaking for their new Knoxville bank building on Monday.
The new 3,750-square-foot building will replace the current branch on the Knoxville square and will feature drive-up lanes, an outdoor 24-hour ATM, and safe deposit boxes. The site plan for the new building was recently approved at last Monday’s Knoxville City Council meeting. Jim Baker with Leighton State Bank says he is excited to be a part of the future of Knoxville with their new permanent location.
“As a lifelong resident of Knoxville it’s just a very exciting time with everything going on in Knoxville. Now with Leighton State Bank bringing our permanent location and starting this project it really gives us that opportunity to be more a part of that. As we look to the future with this building we will be able to serve the Knoxville community not only now, but for years to come. Being from Knoxville that is a very important thing to me.”
Leighton State Bank also has locations in Pella and Monroe.
