The Pleasantville volleyball team fell to Des Moines Christian on the road in their season opener Tuesday night.

The Trojans fell in straight sets to the Lions 28-26, 25-20, and 25-17. In the match Emily Roe had 15 digs while Londan Foley had 14. Coach Ammie McGraw says that Londan and Emily’s defense carried her team and was the highlight of the night. In the last set the Trojans and Lions were tied at 15 before Des Moines Christian pulled away. Foley was also 100% from the service line and McGraw says she was a beast defensively. The Trojans will next compete on Thursday at Interstate 35.
