The Iowa State Patrol will have extra enforcement around Warren County today, as with the first full week of school it presents a great opportunity to engage with the community and more importantly teenage drivers.

The State Patrol will work in and around high traffic areas in Warren County and include but are not limited to, Highway 5, Highway 65, Highway 92, Highway 28 and in the city limits of Norwalk, Indianola and Carlisle. The goal of this special project is to reduce the number of traffic accidents and violations in this area by targeting seatbelts, distracted driving and excessive speed.
