The Central RED Society will welcome retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Colonel Rob Bandstra on Wednesday, September 11th.

Most Americans remember where they were when they learned the World Trade Center’s twin towers were attacked by terrorists on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001. Bandstra will present his perspective as the executive officer to the commanding general in charge of North America defense at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Bandstra enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after graduation from Pella Christian High School. He worked his way up into broader roles of responsibility throughout his 30-year career, being promoted to Lt. Colonel and commanding two special operations squadrons.

The program will start with lunch being served at 11:30 am in the Dave and Ardie Sutphen Common Room at Central’s Graham Annex. The cost for the program is $15 and for more information or to make a reservation contact Director of Engagement Mary Benedict at benedictm@central.edu or by phone at 641-628-7641.
