The Jasper County Board of Supervisors this week unanimously approved three hiring requests from Jasper County Sheriff John Halferty. Two new permanent part-time positions for Advanced Life Support (ALS)/Basic Life Support (BLS) Technicians were created. The Jasper County Supervisors also approved the hiring of a full-time jailer. Anthony Shepard is now employed in that role, earning the union hire-in wage of $21.01 per hour,
