The Pleasantville football team fell to Interstate 35 in their season opener Friday night.
The Trojans fell at home to the Roadrunners 27-14 in their first game of the season. Head Coach Mack Jorth said his team will look to clean some things up and work hard to prepare for next week.
“I35 they came out and really played tough. They were physical, feisty, and aggressive. They did a good job making the plays that they needed to make. They attacked us a lot on defense blitzing and put pressure up front on our offense and we just didn’t quite make enough plays to execute at a high enough level to get a victory. We’re going to work on that, we’re going to learn from that, and we’re going to move forward with a better level of execution for next week.”
The Trojans start their season 0-1 and will take on Woodward-Granger next week on the road.
