Junior Spencer Taylor wasted no time getting the Dutch on the scoreboard, finding the back of the net just seven minutes into the match. Senior team captain Joe Brown added Central’s second goal of the game in the ninth minute, and the Dutch (1-1-0) held the Blue Jays scoreless the rest of the way to improve to 1-1-0 on the fall. Goalkeeper Ronan Murphy reeled in three saves in the win, while earning his first shutout of the season.

The Central men’s soccer team is off until Saturday, when they host Eureka (Ill.) in a non-conference match at the A.N. Kuyper Athletic Complex soccer field at 4 pm.
