One week from today Jasper County will host the first Zoom Informational meeting related to the upcoming November 5th Bond Referendum. County voters are being asked to approve up to $6,400,000 in general obligation or capital loan notes to pay for a new secondary roads maintenance building and shop. The construction would occur on seven acres of County owned land just south of Interstate 80 by the County Sheriff’s Office and Jail. The county just built an 11,900 square foot truck storage building on the property just east of Newton. The Zoom meeting next Tuesday, September 10th begins at 6:30.
