Newton’s Boys and Girls Cross Country teams run for the first time this season in Williamsburg at 4:30 this evening. 14 other schools are expected to have runners participate including PCM, Grinnell, Oskaloosa, Montezuma, and South Tama. The Cardinal Cross Country teams had a meet in Marshalltown canceled last Thursday due to hot weather. The Newton’s girl’s swim team hits the water again tonight in a triangular at Marshalltown High School. The Aquagirls cruised to a home triangular win over Tipton and Williamsburg last Thursday. They face Fort Dodge and Marshalltown at 5:30 this evening. Newton’s 5-1 Volleyball team hosts #9 Dallas Center-Grimes tonight. The Cardinals are fresh off their Lynnville-Sully Tournament Championship last Thursday. The match-up with Dallas Center-Grimes will begin at 7:15 p.m.
