The Knoxville City Council approved vacating the Sunset Ridge subdivision at their meeting Monday night.
This subdivision was approved and recorded with the county in 2004 and the property has remained undeveloped ever since. Once the subdivision is vacated, buyers Brian and Lisa McNeill intend to maintain the property as a large, single parcel and plan to build a single-family home and accessory buildings. The majority of the property will remain in agricultural use as it is today. Current owner JNB Iceberg Development Group, Inc. has consented to vacating the plat. Also at the meeting the council approved a Glasco UV Performance Bond for $7,600.
