The Pleasantville volleyball team fell in a close five set match to West Central Conference opponent ACGC on the road Tuesday night.

The Trojans won set one 27-25 and dropped a nail biter of a second set 26-24. Pleasantville then fell to the Chargers in a marathon third set 31-29 and then bounced back to win set four 26-24. The Trojans ultimately fell to ACGC in set five 15-13 to drop the match. Coach Ammie McGraw tells KNIA/KRLS that she is extremely proud of her girls effort. McGraw says they had a lead in every game but struggled to keep it up and that it was a hard fought battle for every point. McGraw says her blockers really stepped up and that is part of their game that has been missing in past matches, and she says it’s exciting to see how much her team has improved each match.

The Trojans fall to 4-4 overall and 0-2 in the conference. The Pleasantville volleyball team will be back in action on Thursday at Pella Christian.
