The Simpson women’s soccer team drew 0-0 with Carroll at Buxton Stadium on Tuesday. Simpson generated eight corner kick opportunities and won the shot battle 9-4 but were unable to score, while Meredith Downs made four saves to earn her third straight and sixth career shutout. The Storm are now 2-0-1 on the season and will next play Sunday vs the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

The Storm men’s soccer team fell to Macalaster 2-0, on the road Tuesday night. Simpson recorded eight shots in the match but was unable to find the back of the net. Ronaldo Ordaz led the way with three shots, followed by Jackson Mears with two. Mitchell Dickson and Zach Kline each recorded one shot each. Jimmy Berna got the start in goal, recording two saves, both coming in the second half. The Storm head to Lincoln, Nebraska for two weekend matches, beginning with Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday.
