The Pella Christian volleyball team swept their way to a perfect night at the home invitational Thursday night, defeating Davis County, Van Buren, and Pleasantville in straight sets to improve to 7-3 on the young season.

The Eagles opened the tournament against Davis County and cruised to a 21-7, 21-12 victory, before handling Van Buren in two sets for a 21-8, 21-11 win. Pella Christian wrapped up the tournament with their third sweep of the night against Pleasantville, claiming a 21-12, 21-5 victory to take first place honors. Brynn Runner dished out 39 assists throughout the Eagles three wins, while Chloe Huisman led the offensive attack with 23 kills. Huisman also provided a team-high seven aces, while Faith Kacmarynski and Addie Van Arendonk each recorded five service aces on the night.

The Pella Christian volleyball team is off until Tuesday when they travel to Newton for their first Little Hawkeye Conference road match of the year.
