The Pleasantville girls cross country team finished third at West Central Valley in their season opener and the Trojan volleyball team went 1-2 at Pella Christian.

The Trojan girls finished third with 63 team points. The top finishers were freshmen Ryleigh Hardman who finished fifth with a time of 22:17.80 and freshman Summer Isley who finished eighth with a time of 22:32.60. The boys team finished seventh with a team score of 183. Kurt Kuhnen was the top finisher on the boys side finishing 13th with a time of 18:57.90. The Pleasantville volleyball team went 1-2 at a quad hosted by Pella Christian. The Trojans fell to Van Buren 2-1 (21-15, 16-21, 15-10) , fell to Pella Christian 2-0 (21-12, 21-5), and beat Davis County 2-1 (21-9, 17-21, 15-13). The Trojans fall to 5-6 on the season and will be back in action on Thursday at Mount Ayr.
