100+ Men Red Rock held their third annual golf outing at Bos Landen Golf Course in Pella on Friday morning.
There were 96 men that competed in the golf outing, and the KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio was at the event. Taking first place at the golf outing was the team of Sikkema, Erickson, McDowell, Vaverka and the team of Marinkovich, Lucas, Van Genderen, Randol took second place. Joseph Hietpas won the closest to the pin competition, while Jeff Jones had the longest drive. 100+ Men Red Rock Treasurer Chris Dana said the event was a great chance to connect with other members, while also sharing about the organization to guests invited by members.
“Well first off, we couldn’t have asked for a better day than we have today. And really it’s an exciting time for our organization as we take this opportunity to mix up a combination of gentlemen who have already dedicated their time and their resources to be members of 100+ Men with those who maybe have thought about joining the group or thought about becoming a member, but having decided to come all the way through with that yet. This is a great time, where we match those two up, we put them out on the golf course, let them play 18 holes of golf, and just kind of talk about what our mission is and why it makes sense for them to join the organization.”
100+ Men Red Rock will next meet in Knoxville on Tuesday, November 12th for the fourth quarterly meeting at VFW John Myers Post at 413 S Lincoln St.
