Simpson College has announced their largest incoming class size in years, with a total of 423 first year and transfer students beginning classes, the largest since 2018. Simpson President Jay Byers tells KNIA News retention numbers are also up, so Simpson is doing a great job at not only getting interested new students to come to Simpson, but once they are here they are staying on campus.
The Class of 2027 features students from 29 states, with 72 percent coming from Iowa. Diverse representation in the Class also includes 23 percent students of color and an overall 3.6 GPA. Total Simpson enrollment exceeds 1,200, which does not include students in the College’s Continuing, Graduate and Online Education program.
