The Marion County Board of Supervisors will hear the final reading of declaring EMS as an essential service at their meeting today.

The first two readings of this declaration were approved in 2-1 split vote at the two previous meetings. Also on the agenda is a resolution for an amendment to the comprehensive future land use plan for Marion County, a public hearing and potential action for a zoning map amendment ordinance, and discussion and possible action regarding county compensation board changes.

The meeting will conclude with the board entering into a closed session. Today’s Marion County Board of Supervisors meeting will be held at 9:00 am at 3014 E Main St. in Knoxville.
