Off to their best ten game start in eight years, the Pella Christian volleyball team will look to pick up their first Little Hawkeye Conference victory of the season tonight at Newton.

The Eagles have piled up a 7-3 record so far this year, recording the program’s best mark through the first ten games since going 6-4 in 2016. After dropping their conference opener against Class 5A #5 Indianola on Tuesday, Pella Christian bounced back to go 3-0 and win their home invitational on Thursday. On the other side of the net tonight, Newton is seeking to snap a three-game losing skid. The Cardinals also opened conference action last Tuesday, falling to Class 4A #7 Dallas Center-Grimes, before dropping both matches to Grand View Christian and North Polk at their home triangular on Thursday.

Tonight’s match between the Eagles and Cardinals at Newton High School is scheduled to start at 7:15 pm.
