pella-school-board-2023-24

The Pella School Board approved a previously tabled contract proposal for mental health services at their meeting on Monday. The $32,500 agreement with Classroom Clinic will provide telehealth counseling from licensed therapists. The board also approved motions for facilities agreements related to bowling and eSports. Additionally, the first reading of changes to the 300 series of policies in the district handbook was reviewed and followed by a work session discussing progress related to the 2024 Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress. The board also considered annual learning target goals for the district this academic year. At the end of the meeting, Superintendent Greg Ebeling shared the first-day-of-school enrollment count, which appears to be higher than in 2023, but won’t be certified until October 1st, which will also include weighting for part-time students and open enrollment.
