Voters in the Lynnville-Sully School District have approved a 10-year extension of the 67-cent per $1,000 of assessed valuation Physical Plant and Equipment levy. In a special election this past Tuesday, the Jasper County Auditor’s Office says the unofficial results show 117 of the school District’s 2,147 registered voters cast a ballot; 109 supported extending the levy and eight voted against it. According to the Auditor’s Office, that’s 93-percent support from a voter turnout of 5.45-percent. The results of the special election will not become official until they are canvassed by the Jasper County Board of Supervisors next week.
