While they will be on the road to Moulton-Udell tonight for a match, the Melcher-Dallas Volleyball Squad is glad to be playing actual home matches. For the last three seasons, the Saints have had to use Southeast Warren’s gym as their home gym, calling it Melcher-Dallas West. This year, with the new gym completed, volleyball players Haylie Hendrickson, Jenna Mickey and Hayden Branson are all happy to finally play in front of a home crowd and a loud student section.

Haylie: It’s great, you see how many more people come out because it’s not a drive for a home game.”
Jenna: It’s great to have a student section, finally.”
Hayden: It’s amazing hearing everyone cheering for us. We had support on the road, but now it’s at home and we can hear the fans and student section.”

All three say it gives them a chance to go through their home match routine better than it did the last few seasons.
