The ranked cross country teams from Pella High School made a switch from last year to 2024 on the calendar, and it’s focused this week at the Gilbert Invitational. The #1 in 3A girls and #2 boys will have a rematch from this past Saturday with the #1 Tigers boys and #4 girls from Central College, this time at the Iowa State University 5K circuit in Ames. The Dutch will also see ranked ADM and Pella Christian teams in a continuation from this past weekend in a field that includes 14 total ranked schools. Marissa Ferebee continues to have her sights set on a course record, which in this case, was set last week by Marley Turk of Ames at 17:56.4. Varsity races begin at 5:00 this evening in Ames.
