Indianola Football Matches Up with Pella in Undefeated Matchup

Two undefeated records are on the line tonight as 2-0 Indianola makes the trip to Marion County to take on rival Pella, also sporting a 2-0 record.

The two programs have battled hard in three straight years of matchups, with all games won by Indianola but decided in the second half. Indianola got out to an early lead against Norwalk last week to improve to 2-0, but will have to keep their foot on the gas this week against a Pella team that has outscored opponents 32-13 in the second half in their first two games of the season.

Head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports it won’t be a surprise what they see from Pella, they are a well-coached team with great athletes, and it will come down to being physical and winning the line of scrimmage.

The game can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA, with Andrew Swadner and Rob Hawkins on the call. The game will be played at Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium on the Central College campus. Pregame begins at 6:30pm, with kickoff at 7.

The Indians boys had a stellar day at a packed meet, with Reed Robbins leading the way with an 8th place finish, then Jake Robidoux in 18th, Kiefer Barnes in 22nd, and Paxton Bloom in 37th.
