The Simpson football team hosts Crown in their 2024 home opener at Buxton Stadium today, trying to repeat the success of their first win under head coach Reed Hoskins in last years comeback victory over the Polars.

The Storm fell behind 40-21 in the second half against Crown before mounting a massive comeback to earn the win, with quarterback J Jensen III throwing for five scores. The Storm will have to perform better than in their season opener last week in a 30-13 loss to Augustana, being outgained on offense by 151 yards and only mustering 50 rushing yards on 26 attempts. Head coach Reed Hoskins said the Storm will have to be more balanced on offense, and tackle well on defense despite some early season injuries.
