The Annual Your Life Matters 5K Run/Walk is happening today in Knoxville.

Participants can still register for the event this morning. Your Life Matters is an organization that raises funds for mental health awareness in the community with a focus on children and schools. The event will begin at 8:00 am and start and finish at Knoxville High School, and is a way to further spread awareness for the importance of mental health and suicide prevention in Knoxville. 

There are medals for the top three places in each age division and a pancake breakfast sponsored by Peoples Bank and put on by the Knights of Columbus. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio will be playing music at the event.
