The ranked Pella Christian cross country teams compete in their first of two meets this week on Monday, running at the 44th Mike Carr Invitational hosted by Ballard.

The Eagles boys squad is coming off a tenth place at the Gilbert Invitational last Thursday, while the girls took 13th at the same meet. The Mike Carr Invitational at the Ballard Golf & Country Club presents another talented field for Pella Christian. In addition to the Class 2A #14 ranked Eagle boys and girls, the field features nine ranked girls teams and five ranked boys squads. Among the ranked girls programs are Class 4A #7 Indianola; Class 3A #3 Ballard, #7 ADM, #14 Winterset, #15 Des Moines Christian, and #17 North Polk; Class 2A #1 Van Meter and #16 Roland Story; and Class 1A #1 Madrid. The boys race will include Class 4A #14 Indianola and Class 3A ranked teams #3 Des Moines Christian, #8 ADM, #13 Bondurant-Farrar, and #19 Ballard. 

The Mike Carr Invitational on Monday is scheduled to begin at 4:30 pm.
