The Pleasantville volleyball team finished second at a tournament hosted by Chariton on Saturday.

The Trojans went 3-2 on the day, beating Interstate 35 2-0 (21-8, 21-10) then fell in a close match to Davis County 2-1 (21-19, 15-20, 15-13). Pleasantville went on to beat Martensdale St. Marys 2-0 (21-17, 21-16) and then defeated Southeast Warren in the semifinals 2-0 (25-18, 25-22). The Trojans ultimately fell to Albia in the championship 2-1 (25-21, 23-25, 15-8). Emily Roe had 18 total digs against Albia and Faith Nelson led the team with 13 kills. Kally Wysong and Hope DeMan each had seven kills a piece. The Trojans were excellent from the service line as they served 93% on the day as a team.

The Trojans will be back in action on Monday at a quad hosted by Madird.
