The Pleasantville volleyball team finished with a 3-0 sweep at a quad hosted by Madrid Monday night while the cross country teams competed at their home invitational.
The Trojan volleyball team competed alongside Madrid, Gladbrook-Reinbeck, and Collins-Maxwell at the quad, beating each team in two sets. The Trojans beat Madrid 2-0 (21-8, 21-15), Collins-Maxwell 2-0 (21-8, 21-4), and Gladbrook Reinbeck 2-0 (21-8, 21-15). The Pleasantville volleyball team improves to 13-8 on the season and will be back in action on Saturday at a tournament hosted by North Mahaska.
The Trojan boys cross country team finished eighth while the girls team finished sixth at their home invitational as they competed alongside 15 other teams. The boys team finished with 213 team points and their top finisher was Kurt Kuhnen who finished tenth with a time of 17:47.50. The girls team finished sixth with 141 team points and their top finishers were Summer Isley who finished 18th with a time of 22:08.09 and Ryleigh Hardman who finished 19th with a time of 22:09.41.
