Absentee ballot requests are officially open in Marion County and the first day to vote in the upcoming election is October 16th.

Registered voters may request an absentee ballot to be sent to them in the mail through the Marion County Auditor’s Office. To download an absentee ballot request form use this link. You must complete and return the original, signed form to the Marion County Auditor’s Office at the courthouse by Monday, October 21st at 5:00 p.m. The first day the Auditor may mail absentee ballots is Wednesday, October 16.  This is the same day voters may begin voting in person at the Auditor’s office.  A valid ID is required to vote. In person Absentee Ballot voting will continue until Monday, November 4, 2024 at 4:30 p.m.

If you have an absentee ballot mailed to you, whether returning in person or by mail it must be received in the Marion County Auditor’s Office by 8:00 p.m. November 5th.
