Starting her second career game and collecting three saves, goalkeeper Josie Farmer recorded her second career shutout for the Central College women’s soccer team in a 2-0 win over Westminster College (MO.) on Tuesday.

Along with the defense playing tough, the offense was able to strike late in the first half when defenseman Nicole Sinclair found forward Josie Newton for her first goal of the season. The Dutch put the nail in the coffin in the 66th minute, as Abby Frey’s free kick needed no help to beat the goalkeeper to the top left corner of the net to record her first goal of the season.

The Dutch return to the pitch on Saturday to host Wisconsin-River Falls on the A.N. Kuyper Athletics Complex soccer field.
