The Indianola volleyball team is off to a 15-2 start to the season, with a 15-game winning streak bookended by losses to class 5A ranked teams. The Indians are ranked #5 in class 5A, with losses to only #1 Ankeny Centennial and #7 Waukee Northwest, and not dropping a set the rest of the season in their 15 wins. The Indians have a balanced team this year coming off of their runner-up finish in class 4A last year, and have five players over 49 kills led by Camryn Overton with 131. The team has also replaced graduated setter Tori Runyan with Aspen Nelson and Josie McGraw sharing setting duties, with both over 149 assists on the season. The Indians are off to a 2-0 start to the season in Little Hawkeye Conference play, and will have tough matches coming against Pella and Dallas Center-Grimes. Indianola next plays Saturday in a tournament at Southeast Polk.
