Zane Munger and MaLayna Budinich were crowned Newton’s 2024 Homecoming King and Queen during a coronation in the upper gym at Newton High School late this morning. The two were among 16 candidates. Zane and MaLayna Both were surprised and happy to be selected by their classmates for the honor.

MaLayna said, “I did not think it would be me. So when I felt the crown on my head, it was a surreal moment for sure. And to hear everyone supporting me was super cool.” Zane added “Same thing. Everyone was smiling and looking at me, I was so giddy I couldn’t stop giggling.”
