The Norwalk boys golfers return to the links today, competing in the Joe August Invite at Marshalltown’s Elmwood Country Club. The 13-team tournament begins at 10:00 a.m.

Ranked seventh in Class 4A by the Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association, the Warriors are looking to improve on Monday’s seventh-place performance at Ames. Senior Grady Sigrist, who is 11th in the individual state rankings, leads Norwalk with an 18-hole average of 72.3 on the season.

Earlier this week, the Iowa High School Athletic Association released the Class 4A district assignments for October 7. Norwalk will host a 14-team district meet at Willow Creek Golf Course in West Des Moines.
