Constitution of America, We the People.
This week is National Constitution Week and a proclamation was read at Monday night’s Knoxville City Council meeting.
Last week, the local chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution visited Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch as he signed the National Constitution Week proclamation. Hatch also read the proclamation at the city council meeting Monday night which stated “September 17th, 2024 marks the two hundred and thirty-seventh anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention and it is fitting and proper to officially recognize this magnificent document and the anniversary of its creation.” Hatch officially proclaimed September 17-23 as National Constitution Week and asked the citizens of Knoxville to reaffirm the ideals the Framers of the Constitution had in 1787.
