The leader of a local non-profit organization has announced a transition out of that role this coming winter. In a letter to partners of the organization, CEO Jayson Henry detailed plans to no longer lead The Well by January 2025. The Well houses its own functions as a resource center, Well Works, several non-profit groups, and a thrift store on Oskaloosa Street in Pella and multiple branches of their resource centers in Knoxville and Fairfield, as well as a thrift location in Newton. His wife Nancy, who oversees The Well Thrift Store, is also departing the organization.

“While it seems the days and years have gone by in rapid fashion, we’ve never lost sight of this being the Lord’s ministry and that we’re all here to steward what He is doing. So, in January of 2022 I began working with the Board on planning for my succession, we worked on developing strong leaders within the organization, and in August of 2024, I informed the board of Nancy and my intentions to transition out of The Well in January of 2025.”
